Message for everyone who has been affected by the Earthquake
As you are already aware, Japan is facing a big crisis - after one of the
biggest earthquakes recorded here, the tsunami, and the problems with the
nuclear power plant in Fukushima.
It is a very important time for all of us.
A lot of you would still be wondering whether your loved ones are safe, and
waiting to hear from them.
My deepest thoughts are with you.
I think all of us living in Tokyo need to act, to do what we can for the
people who have suffered, and are still suffering, the disaster in Tohoku
Area. What each of us could do may be small, but lots of small actions brought
together will turn into a big movement.
What we can do, each of us, will turn into a big, big help.
For example, when we are shopping, let's pause before we queue up at the
register and ask ourselves, "do I need everything here?" If the answer is no,
maybe put some items back - it will be a big help for the next person, or
better, it may even help someone in Tohoku.
Another thing we could do is save electricity. For example, turning things
off and pulling out the plug when we are not using them.
Let's all come together and save our beautiful country.
Let's do what we can.
Let's all be there for each other
